WHITE OVERTONE WIND
Guided by Heart
Lunar Orbit 5 = Month 5
Week 1, Day 7 of the
13 Moon Mayan Calendar
The moon tone for this day is 5 - "OVERTONE"
which is also the tone for month 5 of the 13 Moon Mayan Calendar.
We acknowledge five initiations in life: birth, adolescence, coitus, parenthood and death. There are five senses - sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste.
Activity:
Using a five point star, write at the tip of each point, an unforgettable experience related to one of each of the 5 senses.
Key words for moon tone 5 are:
EMPOWER, COMMAND, RADIANCE
All radiance emanates from a center point. Every individual has a personal center - a place of strength and stillness in the core of his being. It is an inner sphere of egoless unconditional love and truth. This center connects us to the Earth, the Universe, and to the heart and mind of all creation. Living in communion with this center establishes a flow between our inner and outer worlds and empowers all that we do. Tone 5 encourages us to connect with our center and then channel its essence outward inspiring others to discover and share theirs.
Affirmation 1:
"With my mind centered on stillness, my heart on love and my body on breath; I am home."
Affirmation 2:
"My inner beauty is radiating outward."
WHITE WIND
is the galactic signature glyph for today
"Spirit merges with matter to sanctify the universe." Dennis Kucinich
Key words for this glyph are:
COMMUNICATES, SPIRIT, BREATH
WHITE WIND prompts us to commune with spiritual realms while learning how to transmit our inspiration from that which is invisible into that which is physical.
White Wind instructs us to breathe relaxed and deeply, for breathing is meditation and the very fuel of life. As native American teachings say, "Through our breath we are in relation with all life..." Not only does breath carry oxygen throughout our bodies, it joins our mind, body, and spirit - enlivening their connection. Breathing helps us to calm and center ourselves such that we experience our connectedness to the ALL.
13 Moon Mayan Calendar
The ancient Maya were experts in astronomy, mathematics and calendar creation. The 13 Moon Mayan Calendar year is divided into 13 equal months of 28 days each. One month constitutes one revolution of our moon around the earth. One year is made up of one orbit of planet earth around our sun and 13 orbits of our moon around earth.
The year always begins on the 26th of July in the Gregorian calendar. Since 13 months X 28 days equals 364 days, the 365th day, which always falls on July 25th (Gregorian calendar), is referred to as the "Day Out of Time." It is no day of the week or month at all and is one of festivities and art, and is dedicated to nurturing harmony and reflection.
New age spiritual leaders say that the irregularities of the Gregorian calendar (months of 28, 29, 30 and 31 days) have led man into a time of war, carnage and destruction of our planet. They teach that if we change to the 13 Moon Mayan calendar, and therefore change our programming, we will know a period of world peace and deeper respect for our planet.
